 The Seminar gala banquet was held on  Wednesday, 12 September 2018 in the rooftop restaurant at Titania Hotel in  Athens, which has marvellous views on the Acropolis. Representatives of two  partner institutions of the WIETE received WIETE occasional awards, presented  by Professor Robert Špaček, President of the WIETE  International Academic Advisory Committee (WIETE-IAAC), and assisted by Professor Zenon J.  Pudlowski, WIETE Director. The recipients were Associate Professor Ľubica Ilkovičová of the Faculty of Architecture at Slovak University  of Technology in Bratislava, Bratislava, Slovakia. The citation attached to the sterling silver coin featuring a dog reads: Celebrating the 6th Mediterranean  Seminar on Engineering & Technology Education in the Year of the Dog, this  WIETE gift is presented in recognition of your achievement in engineering and  technology education and, in particular, the organisation of the 2018 EADE  Conference. Dr Aji Prasetia Wibawa of the State  University of Malang, Malang, Indonesia, received the second silver coin award  with the following citation: Celebrating  the 6th Mediterranean Seminar on Engineering & Technology  Education in the Year of the Dog, this WIETE gift is presented in recognition  of your achievement in facilitating the partnership between WIETE and the  Faculty of Engineering at the State University of Malang, Malang, East Java,  Indonesia.  The highlight of the evening was the  presentation of the WIETE Fellowship diploma to Professor Sabina Kuc of the  Faculty of Architecture at Cracow University of Technology, Kraków, Poland, by  Professor Robert Špaček, President of the WIETE-IAAC, who was assisted by Professor Zenon J.  Pudlowski. On the recommendation of the Executive of the  WIETE-IAAC, a membership grade called Fellowship, was established in February  2012. This is the WIETE’s highest membership grade, awarded to prominent  international academics involved in engineering and technology education. This  time, Professor Sabina Kuc was elected to be a WIETE Fellow. The citation  mentioned that the recipient of this highest WIETE honour received it ... in  recognition of her distinguished contributions to engineering and technology  education, outstanding achievements in the globalisation of engineering and  technology education through the activities of the WIETE, and, in particular,  for exceptional service to the WIETE. We wish to  congratulate Professor Kuc on this distinguished award and thank her for her  tremendous support in establishing the partnership with her Faculty and her  strong input to the life of the WIETE.        |
