A Memorandum of Understanding on partnership was signed by Associate Professor Andoko, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at the State University of Malang, Malang, Indonesia (FE-UM), and the WIETE Director, Professor Zenon J. It is envisaged that under this agreement of partnership, the two parties will engage in, and promote research and development projects in engineering and technology education with respect to relevant programmes taught at the FE-UM. It is also anticipated that a range of joint activities will be carried out, including the possibility of establishing a WIETE-affiliated centre of excellence. It has been decided that Dr Aji P. Wibawa of the FE-UM will oversee the joint activities on behalf of the FE-UM, and will represent the Faculty on several WIETE committees.
