| 22  June 2024 saw a Jubilee Meeting - Graduate Day, which was part of the 120th  anniversary of the foundation of Gdańsk  University of Technology (Gdańsk Tech). The meeting  consisted of three parts, all held in the University Assembly Hall. Presenting the  inaugural title of the Honorary Professor of Gdańsk Tech to the WIETE Director, Professor Zenon J. Pudlowski constituted the  first part. This title was bestowed upon him by the University Senate on 17  January 2024, in recognition of Professor Pudlowski’s expertise in engineering and  technology education on the international arena demonstrated by his academic  achievements, including several successful international initiatives in this  field.
 Professor  Lucyna Nyka, Dean of the Faculty of Architecture introduced the awardee and his  achievements to the assembly. The award, together with the statuette of the allegory  of science was presented by Professor Krzysztof Wilde, Rector of Gdańsk Tech. In receiving his award, Professor Pudlowski  dedicated it to the present and past academics, students and other stakeholders  who have made this University one of the best academic establishments in  engineering and technology education in Poland.
 The  second part of the Jubilee Meeting was the launch of the memoirs of the late  Professor Aleksander Potyrała (1902-1964), recipient of  the Silver Cross of Merit, among other Polish awards, and a renowned and  respected academic in the field of naval architecture.
 Honouring  thealumni from the early 1970s with special medals handed out by the Rector to  each graduate to the cheers of their former colleagues constituted the third  happy part. A group photograph of the meeting participants in front of the main  building crowned this special day.
