| It is a well-established tradition of the World Institute for Engineering and Technology Education (WIETE), based in Melbourne, Australia, to present its awards in person at international conferences and meetings organised by the WIETE each year. In the spirit of this tradition, two outstanding Polish engineers/architects were elected Fellows of the World Institute for Engineering and Technology Education (FWIETE) on 12 February 2020. Unfortunately, because of the Covid-19 pandemic, we have not been able to present them personally with the official certificates of this award. Exceptionally, this year, the awards were delivered by e-mails on 22 September 2020.
The WIETE team are delighted to announce that the two awardees are: Professor Lucyna Nyka, Dean of the Faculty of Architecture at Gdańsk University of Technology (FA-GUT), Gdańsk, Poland, and Professor Maria Jolanta Żychowska, of the Faculty of Architecture at Cracow University of Technology (FA-CUT), Kraków, Poland.
