Dr Detlev E. Jansen and Professor Zenon J. Pudlowski met on Thursday, 28 August 2014, in the Zum Grünen Baum restaurant in Kelsterbach near Frankfurt to discuss future collaboration in engineering and technology education, and in engineering project and business negotiation, in particular.
Dr Detlev Jansen, a former PhD student of Prof. Pudlowski at Monash University, Melbourne, Australia, and now an employee of one of the leading engineering firms in Germany, is involved in international engineering development and trade, and has specialised in business negotiations in engineering. He has expressed his desire to resume research and development activities in this area, under the auspices of the WIETE. In particular, Dr Jansen's interest lies in intercultural negotiations in the English language and his strengths are in developing business strategies to deal with business counterparts in Asia and the Pacific Region.
