The WIETE Director, Professor Zenon J. Pudlowski, has been appointed an Adjunct Professor in the College of Engineering and Engineering Technology (CEET) at the Northern Illinois University (NIU), DeKalb, Illinois, USA. In accepting this appointment Prof. Pudlowski stated that the aim of this engagement was to further strengthen the partnership and cooperation to the mutual benefit of the CEET-NIU and the WIETE, and for the entire global community of engineering and technology education.

The NIU College of Engineering and Engineering Technology’s achievements have been considerable in the promotion of engineering and technology education. It has become a leading force in this endeavour not only in the United States, but also globally. The College has already established an institute of Teaching and Learning for some of its professors and is actively involved in engineering and technology education through its international outreach programme. It is envisaged that under this collaboration Prof. Pudlowski will assist the College in its endeavour to develop new students, attract new talent to cultivate the experience base for the strategic technologies and applications, and form partnerships with businesses in the greater Chicago and Rockford areas, the College Dean, Professor Dr Promod Vohra said.
