In their heavy schedule during the June/July travel to Europe, the WIETE directors managed to fit in a visit to Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava (STU), Slovakia, the host of the Faculty of Architecture and Design (FAD) - a partner institution of the WIETE.

In the early morning, an important University academic ceremony took place at which the Rector of the STU, Professor Oliver Moravčík presented University decrees of appointment to visiting and emeritus professors, as well as recently appointed associate professors. This academic ceremony was attended by the university management and deans of faculties.

The WIETE Director, Professor Zenon J. Pudlowski was one of the recipients, with his visiting professorial appointment extended for another two-year term until 31 August 2025.

Professor Pudlowski’s appointment was initiated in 2017 by Professor Ľubica Vitková, the then Dean of the Faculty of Architecture at the STU and presently University’s Vice-Rector for International Affairs. Under his appointment as a Visiting Professor in the study of architecture and urban planning, he will continue assisting the FAD in their educational activities, particularly in the promotion and development of research publications by their staff and postgraduate students.

Professor Pudlowski is being congratulated on this honour.

A brief meeting with several FAD senior staff and management members was the next activity of the WIETE directors, with a working lunch culminating this one-day long visit.
