On Monday, 8 September 2014, the Opening Ceremony of the 3rd World Conference on Technology and Engineering Education was convened and presided over by Professor George Metaxas, who welcomed the University’s officials, as well as local and international participants. The welcome addresses were presented by Professor George Kalkanis, President of the TEI-Piraeus Administration Committee and Professor Dimitrios Tseles, Deputy President of the TEI-Piraeus.

In his address, Professor Metaxas emphasised that the objective of the Conference was to provide the participants with the opportunity to interact on all aspects of technology and engineering education, and encouraged them to raise issues and ideas concerning contemporary problems and challenges in engineering and technology education.

Prof. Zenon J. Pudlowski, was then invited to present an introductory address on the WIETE activities and achievements in 2013-2014.
